The
MIL-D1 Underground Metal Detector
The Mil-D1 is a portable, high-sensitivity Metal Detector
design to detect magnetic and non-magnetic metals in conductive and non-conductive
soils, including laterite and magnetite. The metal detector comprises
of a detection head, a telescopic handle, an electronics unit, a canvas
carrybag and a high Impact Polypropylene Case.
The detection head is light, and the wiring is designed
to be protected from any possible damage. The electronics unit can be
carried over the shoulder, attached to a belt using special hooks, or
as an integral part of the telescopic handle. The MIL-D1 Metal Detector
does not require any manual calibration; in addition, optimum sensitivity
is ensured over all types of terrain due to CEIA’s
exclusive Automatic Soil Compensation System.
Localisation of metal objects is optimized by a two-tone
audible pinpointing system, which allows the position of the detected
mass to be identified accurately.
The Detector is manufactured in compliance with the ISO-9001
standard, and has been designed to satisfy the most stringent operational
requirements for both humanitarian and military demining.
Detection and Quality Features:
• Detection
of magnetic and non-magnetic metals.
• Superior detection depth.
• Precise location of multiple mines in close proximity.
• Accurate compensation of mineralized soil effects.
• Precision pin-pointing of the target.
• Static and dynamic detection, independent of the speed.
• Very long battery operating life.
• Flash technology for in-the-field Software Upgrades.
• Lightweight, ergonomic search probe for maximum comfort.
• Extremely robust and reliable.
• Easy to operate.
• Self-diagnosis system with audible warning signals.

The MIL-D1 Deep Search Underground
Metal Detector
The CEIA MIL-D1 Deep Search Metal Detector is an active Electromagnetic Induction
(EMI) device, it is based on the transmission of an altered, low frequency,
magnetic field as well as on the reception of the variations introduced
in the field itself, by buried metal masses.
The equipment is made of a telescopic tube, with a central,
hard coated painted, aluminum body and fiber glass extensions. At the
extensions’ extremities, two inductive heads are assembled, suitable
for the transmitting and receiving irradiated magnetic field.
The two heads are connected, by means of proper cables,
to a Control Unit that also contains the power supply batteries. The alarm
is sounded by an acoustic warning signal, positioned in the Control Unit
or in a personal earphone and a LCD display in the Control Unit. This
solution is particular suitable for noisy environments. The detection
of deeply buried metal masses requires specific high detection properties.
Detection and Quality Features:
• Detection
of magnetic and non-magnetic metals.
• Superior detection depth.
• Accurate localisation of found objects.
• Insensitive to ground magnetic anomalies and probe handling.
• Static and dynamic detection, independent of the speed.
• Flash technology for in-the-field Software upgrades.
• Lightweight, ergonomic search probe for maximum comfort.
• Extremely robust and reliable.
• Easy to operate.
• Self-diagnosis system with audible warning signals.
